Privacy Policy
What we collect when you visit nexomcore.com or book a consultation with us, why we collect it, who else can see it, and how to get it back or have it removed.
1. Who we are
NexomCore ("we", "us", "our") is a technology company based in Perth, Western Australia. We build AI platforms and developer tools, and deliver custom software, cloud, cybersecurity, data and managed IT services. This policy covers nexomcore.com and the business dealings that follow from it.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Where we work under a client contract that sets a higher standard, the contract applies.
2. What this policy covers
This policy is about information we collect through this website and through the enquiries it generates. It does not cover:
- Data we process on behalf of a client inside a system we have built or operate for them. In that work we act on the client's instructions and their privacy policy governs the data — ours does not displace it.
- Third-party websites we link to. Once you leave this site, the operator of the site you land on decides what happens to your information.
3. What we collect
Information you give us
You can use most of this site without telling us anything. You give us personal information when you:
- Book a consultation. Our booking page uses an embedded Cal.com scheduler. Booking asks for your name, email address and time zone, and you can add notes about what you want to discuss. Cal.com records the booking and sends us the details.
- Email or call us. If you write to business@nexomcore.com or call 0431 997 100, we hold whatever you choose to tell us — typically your name, contact details, your organisation and the substance of your enquiry.
We do not run any other form on this site, and there are no accounts, logins or payments to make here.
Information collected automatically
- Server and delivery logs. Our hosting provider records the usual request data — IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser's user-agent string and the referring page. These logs exist to serve the site, keep it available and investigate abuse.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read, how visitors arrive and how the site performs. It records pseudonymous identifiers, not your name.
- Advertising measurement. We use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of advertising on Facebook and Instagram, and to show relevant ads to people who have visited this site. The pixel reports page views and the pages they occurred on to Meta, along with an identifier Meta may be able to match to your Facebook or Instagram account.
We do not collect sensitive information (health, biometric, racial or ethnic origin, political or religious beliefs, sexual orientation, criminal record) through this website, and we ask you not to send it to us unsolicited.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. The ones set here come from the analytics and advertising tools above — the site itself needs none of them to work.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Typical life |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one browser from another so visits can be counted | Up to 2 years |
_fbp | Meta Pixel | Identifies a browser for advertising measurement and remarketing | About 3 months |
| Cal.com cookies | Cal.com | Runs the booking scheduler when it is loaded on the contact page | Set and controlled by Cal.com |
These tools load when you open the site. If you would rather they did not run, see Your choices below — every one of them can be blocked without breaking the site.
5. How we use it
- To answer your enquiry and hold the consultation you booked.
- To prepare proposals, scope work and deliver services you have asked for.
- To understand which parts of the site are useful and improve them.
- To measure our advertising and show ads to people likely to be interested in our work.
- To keep the site secure and available, and to meet our legal and record-keeping duties.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your enquiry to send you marketing you did not ask for.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers that make this business run, and only as far as each one needs:
- Cal.com — scheduling, for the details you enter when booking.
- Google — analytics, for the pseudonymous usage data described above.
- Meta Platforms — advertising measurement, for the page views the pixel reports.
- Our hosting and email providers — delivery of the site and our mail.
We will also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim. If our business is ever restructured or acquired, information may transfer as part of that, subject to this policy.
7. Overseas disclosure
The providers above operate infrastructure outside Australia, principally in the United States and the European Union. Using this site therefore involves your information being stored or processed overseas (APP 8). We choose established providers that publish their own privacy and security commitments, but we cannot control the law of every country their infrastructure sits in.
8. Your choices
You can switch off the tracking on this site at any time:
- Block cookies in your browser. Every major browser can block third-party cookies, or all cookies for a given site. Nothing on nexomcore.com breaks if you do.
- Opt out of Google Analytics across all sites with Google's browser opt-out add-on.
- Control Meta advertising from your Facebook ad settings, which govern how Meta uses data from sites like this one.
- Opt out more broadly through Your Online Choices Australia, or by using a tracker-blocking extension.
9. How we protect it
We keep the number of places your information lives deliberately small, restrict access to the people who need it, and rely on providers that encrypt data in transit and at rest. This site is served over HTTPS with a strict content security policy. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if an eligible data breach affects you, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
10. How long we keep it
Enquiries and booking records are kept while we are in contact and for as long as we may need them for the engagement they relate to, then deleted. Where we have entered into a commercial relationship, records are kept for the period Australian tax and corporate law requires. Analytics and advertising data are retained by Google and Meta under their own retention settings, and expire on the cookie lifetimes listed above.
11. Access, correction and deletion
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Write to business@nexomcore.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify who you are before we act, and in rare cases the law allows us to refuse — if we do, we will tell you why.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have rights of portability, restriction and objection under the GDPR, and can lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. The same address reaches us.
12. Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, tell us first at business@nexomcore.com — we will investigate and write back. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can take the complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
13. Children
This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when what we collect changes. The revision date at the top of the page always reflects the current version, and material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
